UV Rays on Hair

Hey Curly Diva!

Are you worried about your curly locks this summer? Well, don't worry a second more. Summer weather can sometimes be cruel to your hair but it's not too difficult when you know about proper hair care.

To prevent strong UV Rays from drying out your hair and leaving your hair feeling brittle and lacking moisture, a great tip is to deep condition your hair and use a leave in conditioner like Infusium 23 to hydrate your curls during the day. Also consider wearing a hat to protect the hair (especially hair that is colored).

If you need more hair care tips consider the Curly Hair Guide. It's a complete guide to growing longer, healthier curly hair. Rock your curls this summer. After reading and implementing the tips, natural recipes and styling guide in this book, caring for your hair will be so much easier.

Here's what Cassandra had to say:

“After reading your book I’ve learned so much! It tells me how to take care of my hair what to do and not to do, how to eat… there is so much information! You have really done your research very well. So far I’ve tried two of your tips and it works very good when I wash my hair. Thank you for providing such an informative book!”

My New Best Friend - The Handy Shower Dispenser

Okay, so yesterday I shared with you my very new best friend. Yes, the shower dispenser has made things so much easier. Talk about less clutter. Having too many shampoo bottles, conditioner bottles, razors etc. all in the shower at one time has always been a bit of a hassle. Clutter and a curly girls hair products can take a toll (I’m sure you agree :) …… I know not everyone's experience is the same but in my experience, it has been more difficult to avoid my product bottles from slipping through my fingers when the bottles are wet and soapy in the shower. Although it hasn’t happened often, I have dropped a bottle or two. But being able to have my hair products easily accessible in the shower without the clutter or avoiding the chance of dropping a bottle has made my life so much easier.

Triple Chamber Mounting Shower Soap Dispenser

But what’s great about the shower dispenser is that it was really easy to install. I didn’t need any tools; just two-way tape and silicone glue that was included in the packaging. And the dispenser is also easy to move if I want to relocate it later on. The individual soap chambers lift out of the shampoo dispenser when it’s time to refill. I prefer filling mine with shampoo in one, conditioner in another and then diluted apple cider vinegar for my non-shampoo days or for the days I want to completely clean off any product build-up on my hair. But I think the best feature is having handy storage hooks for my razors and other hair accessories. Everything is now easily organized so shampoo days are no longer a chore. Don’t you just love gadgets!!! I would highly recommend this if you’re fighting to find your way around your bathroom. I give it 4 stars!

A Doll That Looks Just Like ME!

I can recall going with my mom to the toy store looking for a doll that looked just like me. I wanted a doll with darker skin and curly black hair but we couldn't find it.

We later tried some other toy stores that were known to carry dolls but after asking around we couldn't find anything. Kids are so lucky nowadays that they have all types of dolls of all ethnicities. They have diverse skin tones and hair textures. Fuller lips and smaller lips. It's clear we have come a long way.

Even porcelain dolls have become more diverse. Well, can you imagine getting a doll made with your favorite outfit? That would be too cute!

Well, I actually found a company that does this. You can get your own... Create a Personalized My Twinn Toddler Doll
